Q: What do you like most about working at Noble?
Pang: I am particularly fond of the positive work culture at Noble and the friendly interactions with my colleagues. The company’s atmosphere fosters collaboration and makes it an enjoyable place to work.
Q: When did you first know that you wanted to pursue a career in this field?
Pang: My decision to pursue a career in this field crystallized during my graduate studies. The challenges and possibilities in the field captivated me, motivating me to embark on this rewarding journey.
Q: Tell us something about your professional development journey.
Pang: My journey in biomedical research began in the United States in 2005, with a primary focus on cancer research. Over the years, I garnered valuable experience in cancer research, which has proven to be an asset in my transition to an industrial career. At Noble, I’ve had the opportunity to assist clients in developing therapeutic products and conducting preclinical safety tests. This transition has broadened my perspective, moving from wet bench-oriented studies to data-oriented research, incorporating bioinformatics, statistics, and Artificial Intelligence/machine learning.
Q: If you could choose anyone as a mentor, who would you choose and why?
Pang: Considering my preferences, I would choose Dr. Stephen Horrigan, Noble’s CSO, as a mentor. His seasoned experience in both academic and industrial fields and his scientific achievements align well with my career goals, making him an ideal guide for my professional journey. I would also choose Dr. Srujana Cherukuri, Noble’s CEO, as my second mentor. Her seasoned experience in managing Noble’s company and contract projects would be an ideal guide, helping me adapt to the CRO environment and further develop my career.
Q: What is one thing you can’t live without?
Pang: I cherish indulging in delightful food; it’s something I truly savor and adds richness to my life.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
Pang: Outside of work, I find joy in exploring new knowledge related to AI/machine learning and data science/bioinformatics. Additionally, during my leisure time, I unwind by watching TV dramas and movies.
